A couple of these pictures are from before it was quite finished, but most of them are after it's done (or done for the day at least). I still have to add a lot of mulch to the north, south, and east sides of the garden. But it's already between the boxes, so that's something!! ;-) The fence is working great! It's beautiful and functional. The dogs haven't gotten in. Of course, they haven't tried, but they're old, so I doubt they will try much. I absolutely love how it came out! It's even better than I imagined when I started planning the final product last year. The chandeliers in the trees are beautiful! I'm hoping to add about 3 more this summer. We'll see how that goes and if we have the right types of limbs to be able to do it. I would like one more on the north end, one more on the south end, and one more in the middle. They all need to be fairly small ones, thought the south end could probably handle a larger one if I found one I loved. The middle could even be a little bigger, but not too big. The north end HAS to be a small one because the limbs get much smaller over that area. We'll see what I come up with. As soon as I have more, I'll be sure to let you know! Anyway, back to the garden, I love how it looks! I know it's going to be even more beautiful when the mulch is in and it's going to be STUNNING once it's full of plants!! I wish it was warmer this week, but I'm sure by next weekend I'll be posting about how I've started putting plants in the ground! Happy happy happy!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Panorama: In Progress
Close up of the beautiful fence we got from Menards! I've had my eye on this one for over a year! It was the more expensive of the decorative fences. Michael and my parents will tell you that it's no surprise what-so-ever that I fell in love with one of the more expensive ones. What can I say? LOL!!
The new 3 boxes make a U shape. The two sides are the same size as the first two boxes (9x3). The back box is (2x10).
Getting the arbor into place
A view of the south fence from inside the garden
All done! Isn't it amazing!?!!??!?!!?!
I love it so much!!!
Those chandeliers look awesome over all these boxes!!
A view from the house!
I love the swirl on the fence!
I couldn't help myself. I planted a row of peas before I went in for the day on Saturday! Then, of course, it got cold yesterday, and it's just as cold today. All week is supposed to be cold with possible snow on Friday. I think it will take more than a week for them to pop up, but if they do as well as the peas I'm growing inside, we should have lots!
I also planted a couple yellow squash...
And some zucchini...
Well, that's all of it! It turned out beautiful! I got to get into the dirt and plant a little! I don't even care if it takes them a while to come up! And if they're not as least sprouted in a couple weeks, I'll just plant some more! Because I got a ton of seeds today! More on that later!
