Before COVID-19, my alarm was set for 5:30am every day. Another was set for 6am. My third alarm was set for 7am, but that was when it was time to get the kids up. I won't lie, sometimes I was still getting myself together when that 7am alarm went off. The last 3 months of 2019 I was getting up at 5am every day. While that was exceptionally early, I actually got into the habit pretty quickly. My final alarm went off at 8:05am with an optional 3-5minute snooze. That would get us on the road no later than 8:20, to school by 8:35 at the latest if traffic was bad, and the kids were easily to class by 8:45 when the last bell rang. We were often there early because I am kind of anal about punctuality. Then I was ready to clock in at 8:45am and get my work day started.
Quarantine has spoiled me, ya'll!! I just rolled out of bed at 8:15am!! I'm writing this blog from the toilet in my bathroom! I'm going to change my underpants, brush my teeth, put some deodorant on, and spritz my hair with dry shampoo and I'm ready to go! My kids haven't even gotten out of bed yet! Unless you count Connor leaving his bed to come snuggle in my bed. Michael's been "at work" in the basement for an hour already. And here I am in the bathroom, playing on my phone, knowing the work will get done when it gets done. There are several ways that the quarantine stinks, but me getting lots of extra sleep and getting to do my work in my own time is pretty stinkin amazing. So there you have it. Overall, I am still enjoying the quarantine life and I am definitely enjoying the extra rest!
Have a nice day! ❤
