Upstairs is an overview area to see the cows in the barn, plus two apartments that you can rent on AirBnB. Below that is the milking parlor. Cows are milked automatically when they decide to come in, plus given a treat, instead of a scheduled, twice a day. The milking machine runs 24-7. Can't remember if I posted these pics or not, so here they are again. 😂
As you may have expected, the farm had cats! That meant the farmhouse we were staying in had several kittens running around. They were very friendly and loved our attention. It was fun loving on them. We all got our fair share of snuggles. The farmhouse was exactly what you'd expect an old farmhouse to be. I didn't take many pictures inside, but here's the outside. If you're ever in Kentucky, I 100% recommend staying here! ❤🐄🐱🏡
After getting settled, we did a little exploring around the farm. We saw baby cows and met Kenny who loved telling us about the farm and permitted the kids to climb on equipment and take a look around. We're also discovered he knows Jason Weibe from Weibe Farms near Wichita! Apparently, Jason had come to Kentucky to see Kenny's operation and learn more about what he could implement at his own farm. Small world!
